is the outside bark of rattan, a jungle vine of Borneo, Sumatra and
Malaysia. The natural color variation, yellow
to tan, with the joint scars makes for a beautiful and natural hand-worked
effect that has never been matched by any substitute. The inner pith
of rattan is machined into different shapes making the various reeds
offered
